Buff wyandotte cockerel?

This is Larry lavender and Fred the buff wyandotte. They are both 16 weeks old and Larry has just started crowing about a week ago and is being rehomed today. I have read recently that if 2 cocks live together and one starts crowing the other does too. Fred hasn't started yet, and he is generally a bit of a wimp. Now I am questioning whether he is actually a boy or a girl! His sister Ginger is a lot smaller than him and doesn't have the red bit on her head which is why we assumed we have a bit and a girl.... any help appreciated

He won't stay quiet if you rehome the other one. He will almost definitely start singing.
