I will definitely read that, thank you so much!Sourland isn't kidding about getting 4 or more. If you get one companion for your hen and something happens to either one, you are back to square one. If you add more to the flock, it can be easier to integrate them to your survivor.
You can check out the "Look but don't touch," method of integration it is the kindest, gentlest manner of doing so.
There's not much I can add to what you've already been given other than to say I agree with getting at least 2 (or more) chickens so you don't end up with a lonely only again. Besides, the more the merrier!
