Bug granules down...how long to freerange?

Hubby put some bug killer down in granules last night. I usually freerange my chickens for a couple hours in the evening. No rain in the forecast...how long should I wait to let them out again?

I might be a little extreme, but I wouldn't let them back out until all of the granules had completely washed into the soil and all of the bugs that ate them were decomposed so the chickens don't get the poison second hand.

If you get a couple of days of rain then maybe a week later. Otherwise I would wait a month at least. Why even use the posion when chickens do it naturally.
