My biologist friend didn't recognize it, and without a phyiscal sample he wasn't able to figure it out. He just got back to me today.

I asked the mealworm supplier and they thought it was a stage of the pupae...uck that it can live inside the girls...

in regards to a wormer with no egg withdrawal period...flubenvet is the way to go ))) no sure if its available in the states though....

we raise meal worms...they dont look like any we have had

I use Eprinex wormer for my flock. There is 0 withdrawal time and it gets both inside and outside parasites. I use 5 drops on the back of the neck at the skin.

OK, that is just yucky. No mealworms for my girls. shudder -- nasty looking thing.

How is the flock doing otherwise?
