Bug inside the egg--YUK

I thought everyone had eggs in tuna, hard boiled eggs, little mustard,(I don't like pickles so no relish) and mayo....Sometimes I do just make plain eggs salad sandwiches if I have no tuna...

I love eggs, but I think that would do me in. If I find a shell in my eggs, I can't finish my meal. I can't imagine what a bug would do to me. Or a lizard.

On the tuna salad subject - never eggs. I have heard of it around here, though. Nope, mine is celery, onions, tuna and mayo.

As I was looking up another problem, saw the replies about my "bug" in the boiled egg. Once again, it was a bug, not blood spot or anything else. I wish I had taken a picture for all of you to see. It was in the white as I was chopping the egg to put in my tuna salad - YES in tuna salad. I haven't seen one since raw or boiled. I was also glad to see others that put egg in tuna, along with mayo, sweet relish, onion and a little mustard.

So thanks for all the replies. I hope I never have to post this again!

I just found the same sort of mysterious thing in a hard boiled duck egg from a local person. The one I found was an odd grey spot on the outside of the yolk so I could easily see it when I was preparing to eat the egg!! I cut the grey "spot" off, and the bug actually jumped out and ran, and I foolishly squashed it spontaneously! I so wish I had captured it instead to find out what it was, how it survived being boiled for 8 or so minutes, and how the heck it got inside the egg!! So this is not an answer, but a further question! But I thought I must have had halucinations, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced this odd thing! I didn't really find it gross, just very mysterious. (But I am glad I didn't eat it!!)

Mmmm, Im getting hungry now..... the egg not the bug!!

Tuna salad......
I usually boil 3 eggs for each can of tuna. Yep I LOVE that many eggs in mine. We here in the south use boiled eggs, mayo, I use dill pickles, not sweet ones and some cut up onions. yum BUT not with bugs in the boiled egg. I am afraid that would gross me out to see. oh dear.

This is sickening and the first time I've seen this. I boiled an egg for tuna salad and as I was dicing it up, I notice something brown. It was a small beetle looking bug that was in the egg white? How in the world did this happen? I wormed them back in the winter and have seen worms in their poo before, but a bug? HELP...I don't like bugs in my tuna.

Did you find out what it was in your egg because I just found around 4 in one of my farm fresh boiled eggs. One was bigger and was reddish brown. A smaller one definitely had little legs. They were dead I think but now I’m freaking out!!!
