We've placed fly strips inside the coop and that seems to help quite a bit, but when the birds are out in the pen, they just seem bothered by little insects of some sort. Would it be safe to sprinkle the floor of the outside pen with 7 dust? Maybe after the birds are in for the night?

So, maybe wet the ground first? Make sure it's not too windy? And close the birds up before using the 7? I sure appreciate your help. I'd hate to inadvertently do something to cause my babies trouble.

Thanks for your help. I've treated the flock for mites and lice with "Poultry Protector". I think they're just fussing with plain old bugs--gnats, maybe fleas, ants, just your garden variety irritating bug. I'll try the 7 Dust this evening. Thanks for your knowledge!
