Bugs around vent area Help!!!

While i was cuddling with my chicken and i look at her vent and saw tiny pale white bugs i immediately gave him a diatomaceous earth bath what else should i do?

Could be poultry lice? see the link above. This article does warn of using diatomaceous earth for it could disrupt the natural balance of the birds getting rid of the parasite.
