Build a better perch - your thoughts?

Be careful with landscape ties, they are usually pressure-treated. The older p/t lumber (CCA) can definitely be irritating to feet, molting tummies, etc in some instances nad IMO is best avoided for roosts; I do not know about the current ACQ stuff but I would not personally use it for a roost either.

I think a lot depends on the size of your chickens. I offerd my big girls 2" 4" and branches all at the same level; everyone prefered the 4"
