My 8 lovely ladies seem to be happy and healthy. They are now 2 weeks old and I would like to start building immunity to coccidiosis. I have read that some people bring dirt from their yard into the brooder. My question is do I just bring in a little bit of dirt or a patch of grass, and should I be treating with a preventative dose of Corid while I do this?

The idea is to deliberately expose them to manageable amounts of coccidiosis if there's any in your environment, so no you don't want to kill it by treating for it during time of exposire. I'd take the dirt or grass clump from the area their run area if there is one, or the general area you'll be housing them.

Do have Corid on hand in case you do need to treat for a bigger parasite load than they can manage.
