Build Mentor in Texas?

Home Depot truck is great. We have rented them several times; it makes most sense to do as much as you can at the same time, but we definitely didn't manage to do it in one go. I can carry a couple of 2x4's in my car, but I have to be careful (point towards the well, NOT the windshield). I actually managed to smash my car windshield closing the hatchback in my tiny Honda Fit and smashing boards against it (just a couple mm, but...). I choose not to add the money spent on that stupidity to the coop cost. :p

Thank you jthornton and STxChickenman! I'll see what I can't haul and check out the delivery or rental option. I had not even considered that! I may go with a simple A Frame build to begin to get my feet wet and so I can start with a few birds. We have 2 acres of completely cleared land so figure a tractor would be a good way to start working on preparing the soil for some plantings as well. While we get that going I can really plan out a good spot for permanent digs and using everyones helpful advice plus some plans/ideas of my own I can get to work on a mini chicken mansion :)

What ever you make don't make the same mistake I did on my first run, I made tall enough for chickens but not tall enough for me to stand up in :he so cleaning and other chores was a royal pain in the you know what.
