Building a 6x16ft Lean to Chicken Run

Looks great! Seems like dog approves too

Can't quite tell in pic but looks like no hardware cloth at the top between the rafters - I'd put some there sooner than later. Climbing predators could easily go along fence, across roof, then enter through those gaps.

Oh there is!! I just painted it black so you can’t tell ;) thank you again!!

Ah I just read what you wrote, hm at the rafters there is a a 5.5” gap, I checked out other builds that didn’t have it, and I’m not sure anything would get up to there at 8ft high?
i lost two chickens because a raccoon climbed in the exact same type of gap in my coop that i was just too lazy to cover up after it was built.

my roof line is 8+ feet off the ground. they will definitely get in eventually.

Thank you!! Looks like we need to do that then, crazy!! I appreciate it!

Raccoons, possums, and snakes can definitely get up there.

Hi 2x 4 are plenty. I live in South Eastern PA and lived in Upper NJ before that so your design will work great. I just saw the video you made of the completed run....very nice. Cheers!

Looks like you could get rain in the area around the peak of the tsc coop?
Aart-you were right! It rained in. I have it wrapped in plastic now to block wind and rain. I found some clear polycarbonate panels 18"x51". I think I'll make some awnings to block rain.
