Congrats on your new home. Love the wildlife. We also live in the country but since we are in different regions, the frogs and snakes are different from what we have. Thank goodness we don't have the scorpions! Enjoy the country life and don't forget to be saving all those wood scraps from your house to build your coop!

A man and his goliath. DH has been after this stump for months! It was somewhere near the bottom of a wood pile left by the loggers .. when he finally conquered it .. I felt the need to document the occasion:

Well, progress is picking up .. builder says we'll be in by March 5 .. I laughed at him .. we told the bank mid-march.

They have textured and painted the interior .. this week they hung and trimmed the interior doors .. we are going with natural knotty pine interior doors .. At the time I took the pics.. they only had the upstairs closet doors hung ..

Next week is cabinets .. so will be much more to show next week ..

Oh, and builder sent us out with an allowance to buy light fixtures .. and we did .. can't wait to get those up and add some character to the house!

Yeah, we painted the whole house "Western Haze" .. figured we could go back a put accent wall paint in later ..

I can't wait for the cabinets to start going up ...
