Okay, ok .. an update .. but I still haven't loaded pics. We won't have internet at home until after next week.

We closed on the house (FINALLY) Tuesday. I really thought I was going to have to give my left ovary for them to let us BUY the house we built on OUR land .. LOL.

Right after closing, we went for sushi, saki, and beer... to celebrate.

Then we went to the Rustic Outlet and bought our rustic wood bed, complete with nitestands and comforter set. Then we went home and set it up. I did take pics, but can't upload them yet .. grrrrrrr.

Little by little we are moving in. Everything is rustic, country etc. We pulled all our antiques out after a year in storage and are cleaning them up and finding a place for them all.

Oh, and I'm settled enough that 27 eggs are going in the bator tonight.

Last friday, we arrived home to find that the neighbor's dog had killed 13 of my chickens.... nice welcome to the neighborhood, huh? Neighbor's dog will meet Mr. .22 if he comes back... grrrrrrr.

Yesterday at about dusk, we were sitting on the porch when our dogs looked off into the woods and started growling .. I thought it was the neighbor's dog, but turned out to be just 3 really nice size deer walking the trail next to the house ...

Can't wait to update with pics... We are loving the small town, farm life.

Can't wait to see the rustic furniture and antiques! I know it'll be hard to step back and see it with fresh eyes after so much hard work, but just upload those pictures and we'll be happy to oooh and aaaah over it for you.... also, so so sorry to hear about the neighbor's dog. He's probably delighted that such generous people moved in with such fun toys. That's got to be a terrible feeling. Good luck settling that issue.
Here's hoping everything from here on out is smooth sailing.. you deserve it!

How exciting comgrats cant waite to see pictures. We to moved bk to hubbies old town and bk into a house he raised his boys in as little kids they are now 16 and 18 and i have 2 from my ex. We are adding a 900 sq ft addition we have a acre i wish it was more but it will work for my flock. I cant waite to see your pictures the house plan looked so pretty.

Okay .. we are WAYYYYYYYY past due for an update.

We moved into the house in April.

It's amazing to even look at this picture .. Our shrubs are larger, we have grass in the front yard. I have flowers on the porch ..

This was the kitchen .. before it got all cluttered with the now unpacked kitchen gadgets!! (And the bator in the corner..hehe)

Same with the rest of the house.. we still hadn't unpacked..

My sister's housewarming gift to us .. It's PERFECT in the foyer..

Sooo ... was all the aggrevation, frustration, fighting, stress and everything ... worth it ?????
