When you say hide/ get away do you mean things for them to be able to get under or behindSure, go for it.
I usually remove the barrier I use at about 6-8 weeks.
They still need places to 'hide', or rather get away, tho.

I have lots of pallets out in the run, some on blocks, some leaning against the fence, some on logs.Yup.
Places for the new birds to hide 'out of line of sight'(but not a dead end trap) and/or up and away from any bully birds. Roosts, pallets or boards leaned up against walls or up on concrete blocks, old chairs tables, branches, logs, stumps out in the run can really help. Lots of diversion and places to 'hide' instead of bare wide open run.
Ehhh...might be a good idea.I should I put anything in the coop when I take the wall down?
Great!!No problem at roost time, the chicks went to their area. And the hens went to theirs
Now I will make sure I'm out there in the morning to open pop doors ,
That way the chicks will have a place to run to if needed to
Which means it went well?Everything went as expected this morning,
Knock on wood
