building a run

What are your thoughts on this please.
I want to build my run with a"floor" of hardware cloth. I will be moving it around the farm and wish for the floor to be predator proof. And since I need to move it around I can not dig the cloth into the ground. So I was thinking of covering the floor with it. Thoughts and experiences please.

Chickes need to scratch dirt. Its hard to do with wire under their feet.

If you want a pred proof run, that is easy to take down and move. Maybe take a look at electrified poultry net. It can be energized with either household, or solar electric power.

I've been using this fencing/netting for over 5yrs, without a loss to a ground based predator.
