My supplier just called......my red vinyl siding will be delivered tomorrow!

Looks like the outside will be completely down (except those pesky upper windows) sooner than I expected.

As a side note:

The cost of this henhouse is gonna be around 12-15 hundred. More than I anticipated when I started, but is gonna be worth it. Not only for the hens, but it will make an attractive addition to my farm.

Or Vicki, can he pay for this thing with eggs?

Hmm… I love figures. Let’s work this thing out;

Let’s assume;
$1500.00 cost (free labor?)
25 Hens
325 Eggs a Year per Hen
$3.50 / Dozen

If Steve doesn’t eat any, (or drop ‘em!)
That’s 8125 eggs a year (Wow!)
Or 677 Dozen (Ok Steve, to make this work out, you need to drop ONE egg this year…)
677 Dozen a year at $3.50 is that $2369.50 / year
Steve could pay for a $1500 building in about 7 ½ months.

Think your building will last that long? I'll bet it will... (ROTFLOL!)

Enjoying the posts.

Sure, for the right amount of chicken scratch!
or a few chickens... I just have to convince my DW and 4 boys that meat chickens will be just as fun as hens. Ok, maybe I have to convince myself too...
