I can relate to that too, but I can also imagine that many would see it costing much more than that cute one on Ebay from China and not knowing any better, miss an opportunity to get educated a little before they throw some money down the drain. I don't consider being honest in my explanation as wrangling, but on the other hand, talking to too many people on the phone would get old too - especially cheap people. I guess it would depend a lot on the market you live in, getting your product out where a reputation could begin, if you were having a first to sell, or already had a waiting list, and how many you wanted to make. Maybe there would be more calls with the price on them IDK, I expect more of these callers to be people who already had experience with cheap coops. I guess you could put out two ads and see what worked best. My friend that sells the tool sheds, hardly ever places any ads anymore. Some are seen sitting in front of his metal shop building when he pulls them out, or in it when the door is open and people see in from the fairly busy road that goes by, there are no prices on those, they were sold before he started building them. Inquiring may get you on his list though. But most are sold by his previous customers. I suspect he would advertise if he started to get ahead of the list, but he also goes fishing often and still sells as many or more than he needs to. I think he sells two or three a month. A new builder with a new product has to start somewhere though.I won't call, text, or email any add that doesn't list a price for what they are offering. If they have something to hide or need to "wrangle" me in then I'm not interested.
I would suggest listing your current price and stating that you can customize options, with a little spew about quality materials and proper sizing for intended flock.![]()
