Building my (1st) run/coop and garden beds. Follow along.

That landscape pic reminds me of when I lived in Black Canyon City. I'm really liking your thread!
Thank you so much!

Today I got the garden beds all planted... mostly seeds. I did plant just a few of the seedlings I started, but not all. It's 94F today (and tomorrow) but then it'll finally drop to low 80s. I didn't want to risk burning all of my seedlings. :fl

Today I also got my first egg from my Easter Eggers -- that pale blue one. [The big brown egg is what I've been getting from my Novogens (in avatar).]

Very nice! And a pretty egg to boot, that's a productive day!

Winter time and we had some fog roll in. This shows how we've modified the roost area to make it a bit more cozy. Put some wood up to block the open pallet wall, hung some fleece blankets to block wind, etc. At least the fog hides the backyard neighbors' houses, lol!

I don't know how I missed this thread, it's great! What is the run frame? I am thinking of cattle panels, but have used the arc of a trampoline before too. I love your run frame!
Thanks!

The frame was from Amazon. It came with a plastic cover to make it a greenhouse but I only used the frame.

I recently sent this pic to my out-of-state son who was thinking of building similar. It shows what I wrapped the frame with. I was trying to keep costs down so I only used the sturdier (more expensive) hardware mesh on the lower 3 ft (plus 1 foot skirted out). I wanted to keep our ground squirrels out and also discourage any of our rattlesnakes from getting in, so I needed a small mesh.

Cattle panels would definitely be sturdy. I've heard they're cost effective too.
