building paradise for the birds

so just setting the first set of eggs today from the ornimentals...boy i cant wait....the tek trol disinfectant came in today...just cleaned the eggs and now putting them into the incubator...wow who would have thought it is this time already....also got another set of materials for one more hoop coops.....so up to four hoop coops now....and still building...got the post whole digger for the peacock pens...and hoping the ground will be thawed next weekend....well here is the pic of the pheasant eggs about to go in...

that cleaner works great for eggs...i will be using this for every batch of eggs i put into the incubator...
Here goes my question generator again.... LOL

How many acres do you have?

What kind of cleaner are you using... I have read that its not a good idea... on one hand .... and then I read it was OK on the other... so I am curious about your success.

ten acres....and the whole washing an egg theory is garbage...i did an experiment let the eggs get super dirty....and washed all the chicken eggs......just warm water....and i had over 70 percent hatch with no issues...as long as all your stuff is clean then you dont have to worry about it....one of my pheasant breeders uses this product before she sets her 200-400 dollar a pair bird eggs....with great success...so i would recommend this as well....the product is used for many preventative things....e coli, salmanilla, avian influenza, mycoplasma....newscastle, even hiv.....says on the bottle to use water under 400 ppm...which means like distilled water, hatching egg sanitizer needs to be water between 78-110 at 1/2oz per gallon.... i will let you know how it goes...as long as the stuff is super clean you dont have to worry about bad hatching problems....the product is used for just about everything...cleaning coops, brooders, incubators....you name it.when washing the eggs it feels like it leaves a good coat over it....just my thoughts on that tho

oh boy i got myself into some trouble...lol...chicken trouble....100 jumbo brown quail eggs.....set 18 ornamental pheasant eggs.....also got show quality barred rock eggs....24-30 of them...super expensive those were...and 20 more ornamental pheasant eggs from another breeder.....and have two other breeders getting me some within the next two weeks....oh boy...please stop....lol....no

I like the fact that its used for all sorts of different livestock operations. From Dairy houses to chicken coops as well as sanitizing work areas.

I plan on building a processing house for poultry. And It looks to be an excellent all purpose product.

Thank you I know its a hot topic and I appreciate your sharing
