I would be seriously bummed...and get on the horn. My honas were perfect. I just pulled them all out of the brooder to look at them again...all black toes etc... However, they are not aggressive at all. Poor little peanut...Good luck!

If I ever order from them again I will def put in one order at a time. Learned that lesson.

thanks purps....i just knew something had to be wrong when something good was happening...did i expect it to be this ....NOPE.....but gotta keep my head up and hope for the best...thats all....the svart honas from ewe crazy farms are doing great...they are getting so big...and it makes me frown to know the good batch died....and this batch i get stuck with...my motivation halted when the package arrived today...so i got nothing done after that...was bummed out...and still am...just confused...im so happy i got them...however im very picky with the birds i have...as you all know i have some very beautiful birds...and if they are not perfect i dont breed them...i have two pheasant pens that im not using their eggs...just because of little imperfections in the birds...and more then likely they will end up in the freezer....and the pen space will be opened up for new better birds....however how can you start to breed with exotic expensive birds when they are not to a quality start...i mean if i got the first shipment and they breeded and then i got some birds like this ....thats ok.....but to start with not so good birds...i might as well just bought from ebay...and as you said purp....your birds you got from them are black.....and so were my first batch as you can see....man im done for the night...later guys...i think im going to work out and beat on the punching bag....i think im going to make a sign for the wall.....its gunna say bang head here...with a bulls eye in the middle....grrrrr

Bummer deal on the new birds. Seems they must be in a rush to get orders out regardless of quality. I'd rather wait and have it done right. I can see your aggravation and it is clearly not unwarranted. Hopefully these birds will grow into a darker coloring, I'll keep the positive flow headed your way.
Im glad they showed up alive and theres no way of knowing what's going to come unless you wait and see what they are going to do.

well just my luck...one talked to gff...and they are willing to figure things out...so that sounds ok....and second we just snapped the shifter cable in the car...which is the only car we have...even tho we have three vehicles...none of them are working now...so stuck and cant go anywhere...and were ten miles away from any town...and 35 miles away from the ford dealership...bummer...but going to be taking pics of every bird and then sending them to gff...for their evaluation...and they said that white toes in the honas are perfectly acceptable....i dont believe that it is acceptable but hey...what can you say to the importer when they say this...no sense on arguing with them...as they should no what is so to speak standard for the birds...right...

Sorry about all the bad luck and crappy dealing with GF Birdman..i would be seriously mad too but dont forget they can lose the white nails as they grow....the white patches i dont think so though. i wonder if the crap stock has anything to do with them lowering the prices for day olds.

well just got confirmation that i have to go to the michigan bird meet....im picking up a bunch of eggs....like i need any more...but who can pass up 10 dollar impeyan pheasant eggs...i see eggs on ebay going for 50-100 a piece...and i know the transport will be short and handled with care and they when i pick them up will be less then 7 days old....getting a bunch of silver golden eggs.....and some impeyan eggs...and also so blue mutant ringneck eggs...

hoping to get a email from gff in the morning....and the goal in the am is to get started on another hoop coop....so hope i can get the base done and all the wood work done on it as well....and of course the car fixed in the meantime...ahhhhh....well hopefully the next few days is going to be better...hope all is well with everyone...have a great night..be back with some pics .....also up to 98 pheasant eggs and counting...

Goos fra bah. I'm sure things will work out. I think at this point they realize you aren't some shmuck. A venture this large is due to have some set backs. I'm really starting to feel like gff is getting ahead of themselves with their stock. Issues Filling shipping orders. Inconsistency in quality. Although it seems like customer support is at the very least human. And that is a step in the right direction. We are all simply bird owners, small or large and at the base its about our love for said creature.
I only just recently started driving. Spent my life with my thumb out. Lol. All a personal choice. But life takes many turns. I hope your car is fixed soon. I know the difference between having and not.
