building paradise for the birds

ok well i figured i would post im not going to hide it or cover up for anyone ...so here it is...i got sent 8 cemani and 4 svart honas...i was told thru email they cull for white in the toes....well the first batch was top notch...nothing in the toes was white....now this batch they sent me they were living...however the quality was much lower then the first batch...here are some pics...for comparison
three pics below are from the dead shipment...you can clearly see they are a great set of birds with all black features

these birds both sets...red bands being cemani are all black...even the svarts are all black...in the feet

all black ...

now lets look at the next shipment....i just dont get it...these birds have this much fluctuation...
svart honas...which you can see white

cemani blurred pic but white on both toes

another hona....white

cemani...white

might be the only keeper...cemani

looks like crooked toe...as well as white

svart...seems to be ok

the keeper cemani

i am going to leave them be...and then tomorrow...im going to go thru and look at each bird and write about them...but you can see a huge quality difference from the first shipment to the second...can anyone else see...or am i just being to picky about this shipment...also they are aggressive...and picked one of the packing peanuts eyes..both of them...not sure if that one will make it....but crossing my fingers...emailed them right after getting them and have not gotten anything in response...

Yep......lots of anxiety over all this, the cost, the loss.....best to wait and think and observe and then gather your conclusions.
Breathe in...Breathe out.

I have to make it personal to myself in order to offer an honest response.

Did you get what was paid for?

My opinion. No, you didn't pay for dead stock.

The ball is put back in there court.

The replacement offered and sent look to be fine animals, although not equal to the stock that they were to be replacing.

Would you have accepted these animals if they would have arrived alive as the first shipment?

Do they" advertise" as" perfect specimens"?

I have been known to list on paper the pros and cons if I am getting severely bent out of shape over something.

Helps me focus seeing it in words.

Me too!! Gets the mad out and it takes a different perspective in writing.

the first shipment was hands down a better shipment...and i cannot breed with white toes....as it will be passed on to their siblings.....and after spending 2k its hard to accept a shipment like this but what do you do...send the birds back....also i would have no complaints on the first shipment...every bird was pretty much perfect and would have been a great place to start....this shipment is totally different...i had a friend over and he knows nothing about birds....he seen the first birds and seen this shipment and he even said the quality was different....i am just waiting for a response...to what they are going to say...worked up i am....happy they showed up alive yes...happy with the shipment not so much...if something doesnt get worked out...would i buy from them if they leave me in the dark...prolly not...i want to get another set of birds after summer when it cools off...but i cannot get another set of these at that price and tell myself its ok to get another shipment...i know they do throw not perfect birds...i m aware of that....however when you state that there are certain things you cull for and then send me the culls...makes one feel like they have been cheated...i know these birds throw culls...and im ready for that...but when you buy directly from the importer their is no reason for something like this...i bought from another importer...and they sent all black birds...now im sure some of those will grow and have qualities that are not all black but there are atleast sending all black birds...im really dissapointed in some things...especially when you discuss everything with the importer and then they send something like this...im certainly not the only person that has received these birds like the ones i got today...and they made it right with them....so well see how it all pans out....just would have liked to not postponed it any longer...
