hello everyone...been awhile...thought i would check in and let everyone know whats going on here...

peacock carrier that we built really quick

got rid of two white males and one silver pied male for free...needed to make some room
Wow love those carriers awesomely simple build I assume you lift out the PVC bars on one side to shove the bird in... um er place the bird in... is there a locking mechanism so they dont work out again.?

the pvc bars are in place...and dont really move upward unless you pull them out...you pull the two pvc pipes out load the bird in and set the two pipes back down...easy as that...and then to let go...you take out the two pvc pipes in the front and the bird walks right out...very small amount of stress is put on the bird that way...and you dont have to handle them once they are in the unit

Wondering the same....they are slick......we need video of installation of bird ;-)
i will try and work on that...selling some of the birds here this weekend....the only thing we didnt have is the handle for the top...then it would have been complete...made it all from scrap wood leftovers from the hoop coops and had extra pvc from my hydro trays...so it was free to build...worked out great...the pvc is one inch...its a foot wide by two feet long, by i believe 20 inches tall....so pretty small...the boards were 2x4s that we cut in half...good solid unit for sure...there will be alot more made very soon...going to be making bird cages as well for shows...not sure if i plan on showing my birds but going to make them anyways..i dont really like the idea of bringing stock somewhere and then bringing them back to the house...not very biosecurity...well day went well...got alot done...see you guys soon

morning everyone...thought i would share..it was a busy day yesterday with fun attached to the day...thats for sure...anyways got a email from gff...saying they would refund my purchase...but who wants that...been about six months now trying to get these birds from them and still no dice...well i got birds but not a starting point...anyways will stop right there otherwise i could go on for hours...on my irritation...anyways told them i want birds not a refund....so we went morel picking yesterday and found quite a few...anyone interested in chatting with me about morels just pm me and we can chat....not trying to sell anything

baby chicks making a nice growth

one of the svart honas taking on sum sun...and dont mind the bird on the left hes not a svart hona...just a packing peanut...lol you can start to see the blue/purple/green sheen to this bird...truly a beautiful bird

show quality barred rock...i inspect the babies once a day for poopy butt...and he was a poopy butter...lol...so he got moved to a rack...cause there was three of them...you can tell hes going to be a male cause of the light feet and the top of the head on the spot....being large and silver...

and wow MORELS....THESE ARE GETTING CHOPPED UP AND THROWN OUT TO THE FRONT YARD WERE THE OTHER BRIGHTER MORELS ARE GROWING ....you can see the ones we picked from our yard below...such a difference...but that was a fun walk thru the woods..the other people found about the same amount....and that is a small find compared to what we normally find...they just started "poppin" and the hunters would say

here are the quail (second batch) that hatched on the 8th....so they are 8 days old...any you can see they are really big...they are about the same size as a chicken right now...by next week they will be in the grow out pen...but they can just almost two feet which that is how high the brooder is...crazy...

well soon will be hatching another batch of pheasants...like tomorrow and sunday...so excited to see my first silver golden pheasant hatch...got good news...on that subject..going to trade one blood line for another blood line.....cant wait...i might be getting out of the reds/yellows/cinnamons....just to do the peach and the silver goldens...havnt made up my mind...i have someone coming over hopefully tomorrow to pick up on pen of breeders of the red goldens from me...what a deal they are getting...and i would be glad to help anyone out this season with any of there pheasant needs....wink wink...

well have a wonderful day...and see you soon...i should have some videos coming soon as well....oh yeah...cant forget just seen a bunch of deer and my one random turkey that is hanging around....later

Poisonous or highly likely to provoke an allergic type reaction when consumed with alcohol?

I have personally eaten large quantities of blanched morels with alcohol and not had the gastrointestinal reaction discussed in a lot of wild harvest forums, but my blood brother gets very ill if eating well cooked ones with beer.

Go figure. The black are said to cause a reaction more often.
