building paradise for the birds

Just browsing through your pics this am and you have some lovely birds! Great job on your work

Thanks it's not easy doing the stuff I do. Building and raising that much is more then a handful. I couldn't do it without the help I have and the motivation of the people. Please do keep following and stay tuned for the Ayam cemani chickens that are hatching for Halloween. Ahhhhh black chickens, so scary.

On a good note grandma is doing a lot better. So very thankful for that

Phase 1 take down tarps and plastic on walls take out feeders heated water or's and disassemble doors

Hatched 6 Ayam cemani n 2 Hmong chickens. Not a big hatch but that's prolly to do with the fact I forgot to let the water out to the incubator and it was running on only 20% humidity. That's ok next week we have another hatch.

Goal for today is to take down nettting as well as all the wire on the walls. Note to self and anyone who might want a pointer is that don't use post staples use a one inch self tapped with a rubber washer on it. If u have to remove it will be way easier. I'm gunna cut the wire off and then have to hand pull all the staples to use the wood. I told u guys I was gunna put a roof on so here goes two roofs. Hope it works out. Lol

Good luck with the un-builds.

Hi Birdman, great to see you back & in operation mode. You have some beautiful birds. LOVE reading about your projects. THANK God that GMA is doing better. OUR first snow the other day was more rain mixed, but it definitely kicked me in the butt to get the outside projects finished. Take care & will stop back in to see your progress.

Abso-tootly!!
I use screws for everything...deck and drywall for self starting....and washers for mesh.
Have used metal bottle caps for washers, punch a hole thru with roofing nail first.
Just took apart my brooder, 40 some screws, to stash it away for winter.

Why removing pens?

I see you're also keeping busy. Glad your grandma is doing okay. The weather is really just starting to hit here too I have several similar piles of wood. All though nothing's covered in snow yet. Don't know if I'll even be ready when it does come. Anyways keep it up.

Small hatch for the bird man

Transferred into their Brodeur it was a small hatch but a good start that I guess is what happens when you forget to turn on the water on your incubator

They were having a rummage sale and it was everything must go . They cleaned up the place nicely . We now have two breeding males and 20 breeding females Of svart hona and one male Hmong and six females. 2 reeding Ayam cemani with about gen females. Getting there. We also have to move the reeves he attacked the female and got her pretty bad and he is so mean.
