humidistat with a small unit inside...humidistat will turn on when to low and turn off when it gets to the right rh (relative humidity)
Please do post this project, I'm wanting to build a big cabinet as well and want it to do auto everything. I plan on putting it in a non climate controlled out building but spray foaming the interior of cabinet so temps will stay stable no matter what the outside temp is. I just need all the ideas /gadgets to make it work.
what are you using to turn the eggs?so here is what I came up with..completely rough draft...but very close to what Im going to build...I will finish a side view and post in a bit..order is being placed tommarow so I should begin on the project very soon....not sure the wattage of the bulb im going to use...this is a first time experiment and the next one I will build will be better...right now it is set up for auto temp, and auto humidity...havnt figured out how to auto turn yet...but im close..i have to do some tests and it will for sure be in the next unit...
this unit will hold 354 pheasant eggs and 120 chicken eggs....so its pretty big....any questions feel free and ask for this will only make me think and make me more prepared...more brains are better in this kinda situation...
well have not decided what I will use..i have the concept of the turner I just don't know if I have the time to make it...so If I build the unit I can always add the turner later...for now I think I will just put a piece of pvc under it.....and just push one end down when they need to be rotated...what are you using to turn the eggs?
birds are very easy to care for...especially in the warmer months...you can auto...anything with the technology we have today...culling I wont do...restraints...? not sure what you mean by thatNice job that is a lot of work, as is caring for all those birds. Are you culling the pheasants as well at a year? do you sell to restraints ? That is a lot of meat
Quote: auto-correct for restaurants maybe?
What is your market for selling birds....or is it just a hobby...I can't imagine it is just a hobby if you're going to be hatching hundreds of eggs at a time.
