I think the band between the legs needs to be tighter...so the legs are closer together?
Not sure what size of hardware cloth you are using or if you are meaning to the posts or hardware cloth to hardware cloth. (I totally know you know what you are doing. I have been lurking off and on and trying to catch up on the reading. Long thread with lots of great information by the way.)just moved over two more this morning....one was sticky...not sure what that would be from....also should be close to 40 now...and two didnt make it out of the shell...they couldnt break it and pop out...but there is still eggs left and when i moved the chicks i tapped on the eggs and could hear chirping sounds out of a couple.....oh no...another quazi....well see...have a wonderful day...just got word that no cemani/honas for atleast two more weeks...as they dont want another incident like this to happen...so i shall keep you posted on whats happening...quail are going into lockdown on saturaday...brooder is already made...and should be going to wood store here in a bit to get more wood..and then back to building...got some work done on the hoop coop..one section of hardware cloth up...just not sure how to secure it...around the metal parts...any iders....the hog rings they sell by me are to big for that...hummmm

We used cage clips to join 1/2 inch hardware cloth to 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Nice fit for it.
For joining to the posts I used plumbers strap. Adjustable and wont rot off. I used machine screws, washers and nylock nuts to make sure it would stay.
I am amazed at what you have accomplished with your birds and in your life.

The cage clips may not work well since the horse fence is at an angle but not expensive so may be worth a try.

I do not like to use bailing wire since it rusts but with the angles there may be something similar that would work and not rust.

This stuff is aluminum so would not rust and it comes in many gauges too.
