Hi! I'm new to BYC and this is only my second thread, but I wanted to share pictures of our coop.We live in WV (for understanding climate here). We currently have 6 chickens but will be taking on 2 more at some point, I hope. The coop is almost 7'x4' and will have an attached and completely enclosed run that will be 150sqft. I read lots and lots here on BYC before we started building and I think I did all my math right have sufficient space for everyone. Check it out!!
Getting started with our pallet floor base and 4x4 support legs:

Solid flooring and first wall is up!

Three walls....the short wall in the back will have the chicken door into the run (enclosed under the deck) and the left hand wall will have the nest boxes off of them:

Nest boxes and clean out door on:

The roof is on and getting the inside painted with semi-gloss latex paint for easier clean up:

Adding removable linoleum to the floor and the nest box so we can pull it out, hose it down and sun it a couple of times a year:

Removable roost that is 36"x24"x24" high:

Ready for occupancy!

And the girls head in to check it all out:

We have glass for the windows that we will be framing and hinging and we need to stain the outside....but other than that, we are done! The girls have their new home now.
And our girls are: The 3 Partridge Rocks~ Barbara, Fargo and Tillie and The 3 Black Australorps: Georgia, Helen, and Jade Percival Egg-cent (my little boy named her...LOL) <3
