Bulging Chick Eyes

Hello. I have had 1000's of chicks and haven't seen this before. A 3 day old SLW keeping her eyes mostly closed, but they are bulging out of her head and pushing the lids out.

Didn't know if I would need a pic for this, because that is a good description and there is nothing else weird about her.

Any ideas? Maybe a deformity? I will probably put her down, but am curious about the problem...

Thyroid problem?

Bulging eyes makes me think hyperthyroidism. But the bulging eyes usually appear after some time, so I think it unlikely in your little guy.
