Bulging eye

Is vet care an option at all?

I'd continue to keep the eye cleaned and apply the ointment. Does she seem to be able to see out of the eye?
Vets in my area don’t really deal with chicken. It’s more the usual house pet situation.
I’m definitely continue to clean and put the ointment on.
The eye looks ok, she does squint and keep it closed a lot.
She’s not as perky as usual but she does drink and eat.

If you can put vetricyn on the outside of her eye out should bring the inflammation down I have used it successfully for an eye injury on one of my hens. Try to make sure she's eating and drinking.
Thanks, I will do that.
Her comb and waddle looks pale but she is eating and drinking, so at least that is a positive thing.

Thank you so much for asking.
It’s pretty much the same. Not better not worse but I did take her to a vet today and she did get a penicillin injection and also some anti inflammatories. She might need another pen injection in two days depending how it’s going. Also still giving her the Terramycin. I hope she’ll get better soon.

Do you have vetricyn that you can put on her eye? Also have you ever made an echinacea tea? It will boost her immune system to help fight infection.

You could also do a chamomile tea eye compress. Pour hot water over tea bag, wait for it to cool down, test it on your eye first to make sure it's cool enough and then hold it to her eye for 15 minutes. You can do this three times a day.
