Bully breeds - share your dogs!

I have had many dogs over the years. But this girl is 1/2 aussie 1/2 amstaff. She is everything I ever wanted in a dog./ I always wanted a blue merle with natural bobbed tail. Since I can not handle most herding breeds (they just are not for me) I was never going to get one. Then my neighbor moved in and had an amstaff with a litter of (cull) puppies. He was going to give them to a friend and from the looks of the other dogs he had I knew they would not make it. The mother herself was so scarred up from fighting that I knew what kind of "friend" he had. Never could prove he was fighting but those dogs left and came back a LOT. She has brought me pigeons, rabbits, mice, baby chicks that have escaped the "locked" brooder". I have kids also so we all know how well locked it stayed. All of wich were less than thrilled about being picked up by a drooly mouth.

She is a love. I can say she is my heart dog and have been lucky to have such a loyal companion. If one of the kids are sick I have to force her to leave their side to eat or drink. She is the same with me. She is just one of those once in a lifetime dogs people rarely get. Smart, funny, affectionate, loyal and more than happy to veg out on the bed with you or take a run.

I've had pits for 10yrs and other dogs all my life, and pits have been the best. They are the most loyal, easily trained, loving animals on 4 legs. here are two pics of the dogs I have now. The first is Taz, he's 10, he's a mix but lots of pit in him, He's crippled up with artheritis after a knee surgery, but he's the best dog I've ever owned. The second pic is Rage, he's a full blooded APBT, 2yrs old, 90lbs of love. He's learning from Taz how to take care of things.

Ban the deed, not the breed. BSL doesn't work.

I was just looking through my pictures from when I had a pit rescue. There's over 250 pics of dogs that we got as pups, adults and everything in between. We got dogs that had just been weened, cripples, blind, bait dogs from fighting groups, pregnant bitches, oh man I can remember them all, and never had a bad one. The pups were the most fun as they would grow before your eyes. The older dogs were a bit timid when we got them but with time and love they all grew to love back. Don't think poorly of pits as they are just dogs like the ones you have and only know how to act as you teach them.

Ban the breed, not the deed. BSL doesn't work.

Here's a pic of a starved pup we had. this was usually how we had dogs brought to us. Some were just dropped off at the end of the driveway in a box.

Here's the old pictures of Amber: IF you look closely you can see her ribs- the picture's angle hides how skinny she was.




I'll get new ones soon she's added about 7 pounds and is right at or under ideal, her coat needs work and she has a hot spot across her neck.

Nothing like a pibble smile. I have been around the breed most of my life. First time I remember ever seeing one I was about 5. I had run out into the road at a family function. My dad jerked me up and was going to beat my little rear off. I hear my aunt screaming LET HER GO OMG LET HER GO! My aunts pit had broken loose and headed straight for him. He dropped me like a hot potatoe and moved away. Dog ran to me turned on him and let him know under now certain terms he was NOT to hit what was now HER new baby. It was the beginning of a life long love affair with the breed. I followed that dog around all weekend. Allie is rather like that first pit I met. Shes not nearly as adult aggressive.
