Bully Chick

UPDATE:

Big Bird as we've dubbed her, was reunited with the flock today. She's still reeking a little havoc (placing her big foot on smaller birds when they're sleeping, pecking every now and then at other birds). But she also seems to be avoided by the other birds some. She's on one side of the brooder, everyone else goes to the other side (not all the time but enough to notice). The other birds can't seem to relax now that Big Bird has rejoined either. Everyone else will be laying down trying to rest and she's running or walking back and forth in the brooder and then she gets everyone else stirred up. She's also picking fights (and having fights picked with her) with another Buff Orphington (standing straight up and chest bumping while flapping wings and occasionally pecking).

Thoughts?

What did you end up doing with your bully chick? I am having a similar issue with a bully silkie (of all things!). The other chicks are calm and happy as long as the silkie is not in the brooder. They are 4 weeks old and I just separated my silkie today. Wondering how your situation played out??

Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us!
