How is your duck doing?

She is doing great so far! He removed whatever that was. He said it was a growth of cells likely caused by an injury or some type of trauma but said it did not appear to be cancerous.
In the morning when I put the cream on her foot I will post a pic. It really doesn't look that bad considering how big it was.

So glad to hear! While she is recovering , I would definitely try to keep her bedding as clean as possible to prevent further infection.

The vet didn't want a bandage on it so I've been definitely been changing it frequently.

BEFORE and AFTER surgery:

So here are the before and after pics. I wish I would've taken a pic yesterday. The incision was the same color as the rest of her foot. Today it looks like it's formed a scab.

She is doing well though. Eating and drinking and wanting to go out with her friends. But the vet says she's got to stay in recovery until it totally heals.

He dug down in too? It’s amazing how quick they begin to heal from these things!! Sure looks better already. Any way you can let her visit her family inside some fencing on top of old towels? Just a suggestion of course.
