Bumble foot

Will he be okay with just 3 tows??
He should be fine - and it's not necessarily the whole toe, just that digit that has turned black. I was trying to see if we have an article on it, but can't find anything super quick - chickens have this ability to 'self-amputate' their toes, one joint at a time, as their injuries require, and go on living nice, full lives. He may hurt for a little bit, though, and maybe limp, until the process is complete.

He'd be fine with no toes. Chickens lose toes all the time and are just fine. I had a one-day old baby chick two years ago with an injury to the toe tip exactly like your rooster's. Within two weeks, the toe tip became black and fell off. It never caused a problem for her.

This is such good news for me! I am so happy for him. He is my fav. Thank you!

There's no way to know for sure, just by looking at the photo, but it could take a few weeks. You just have to keep an eye on it, and hopefully, it won't slow him down any. :)
