Hello Everyone,
I recently noticed my 3 year old hen was limping ever so slightly yesterday afternoon. Turned her over to look at her foot and sure enough... bumblefoot. I soaked her foot in epsom salt with warm water and sprayed it with vetericyn. Her foot is swollen on the bottom and between 1 of her toes. It is warm to the touch. Other than that she is eating, drinking, roosting and laying.
Question is: Is it possible to heal bumblefoot (in the current state of the photo) with baths, disinfecting spray and neosporin and wrapping it up at night? I don't want to pick at the scab and make it worse by opening the area to more infection.. Has anyone ever cured bumblefoot this way?. I feel like she has had it for a few weeks now judging by other photos on the internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as my husband is squeamish and can't even discuss the options with me!

The other never limped and was doing fine when they went back to their owner.
