Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

I just got back from vacation and I had a person unfamiliar with chickens taking care of them. I have a hen with a midway progressed case of bumblefoot, I won't be here this weekend so I won't be able to take care of it, I need to know what needs to be done, today or tommorow, ASAP. I have watched videos but don't quite understand them enough to dig in, literally. Need help fast!!!!
