Bumblefoot, no scab, swelling isn't reducing, trying everything, what now?

I took Mally to the Vet yesterday evening, missing the majority of the office party I had planned. That's how much I love my duckos!

The vet said it was indeed progressed to bone infection so he gassed her up, and opened her foot on the top. Flushed everything out and gave her stitches.

The scary part was when she puked while in the gas mask - the Vet acted quickly to clear her airway. She put up quite a fight during the surgery, they had to hold her wings at the base.

I have Baytril to give her orally twice a day and injectable Rimadyl to give her twice a day.

The vet said I don't have to wrap her foot, or clean it, and that she can do whatever activities her ducky heart desires.

That’s awesome sounds like you got her to the vet at a good time and it’s been taken care of. Wow Mally is a fighter to go through all of that. I sure hope the surgery and meds take care of it all now and she is 100% real quick !! Thanks so much for letting us know.
