bumblefoot on duck

hi! newish duck owner… i’m assuming this is bumblefoot, i was wondering if i can get some advice on out to treat it, i put drawing salve on gauze and vet wrapped his foot so far. any advice would be much appreciated.

That is bumble foot and it’s severe if that’s going to heal you’re going to have to cut out all the black or have a vet do it that and antibiotic cream wrap it up and change daily.

I've never dealt with bumblefoot but read so many posts about it. It sounds like you're doing the right thing but there is a lot of advice here on other's posts if you search bumblefoot duck.

What I do is I cut it out using a brand new scalpel/exacto knife cut out all the black and then wrap it up with some antibiotic cream without painkiller. If a vet is an option I would take him there.
