We noticed this week our chicken foot was a little swollen between her toes and below her foot, we have been treating it with water, epson salt, and a poultry spray and wrapping it with a bandage and vet wrap. I noticed this like scab like thing on the bottom of her foot but its brown not black like most bumblefoot, the swelling has went down and she hasn't acted like it hurts or anything ever sense we noticed it. So I was wondering if this is cause for concern or continue to treat it or if this looks normal.

How can you tell if it was bumblefoot, we never seen a corn or anything come out of her foot. We just used espon salt and vet wrapped it. All of our chickens have a little like scab like thing on there foot.

That is how bumblefoot starts, a small break in the skin from a cut, scrape or splinter. Bacteria enters and bumblefoot starts. They are easier to treat when they are small. Left untreated they can grow quite large, but the process is usually slow. To treat, you soak the foot to soften the scab/lesion, remove it and clean out any core or pus below, apply a triple antibiotic ointment and wrap the foot. When they are very small sometimes just doing a topical treatment regularly will get rid of them, but it takes time. If it's getting smaller with what you are doing, then continue until it's gone. If it's not getting better or it's getting worse, then you will need to do as I described above. It can take some time for them to heal, the bigger they are the longer they take, and all the infection under the scab has to be gotten or it won't heal it will come back.

I have an older hen that isn’t lame but has these growths on her feet. Could it be old bumble foot? I have had her one year. She is 6-7 years old and she came with those growths as well as bad leg mites that we are treating.

Do you have some pictures of the growths?

Here are a few photos of the bumps

Pictures of the bottom of her feet would be helpful. The swelling between the toes could be from the mites, or could be bumblefoot, need to see the bottoms. The rest of the gunk and raised scales looks like from the mites.
