Bumblefoot or possible insect bite?

What does the underside of the foot look like?

I don't have a photo of it but the underside appears to be normal. It had the same color as the other foot. I don't see any obvious puncture wounds where bacteria could have entered. I don't see any visible bite marks.
My vet recommended waiting a few days to see if it worsens. I'm a pretty visual person & notice even the smallest details that others miss. I didn't notice this until just a couple days ago. This particular hen is the runt of the bunch so I really baby her. I'm always picking her up & holding her.

I'd say the vet has the best idea. The worst it could do IMO, is simply that... Get worse...

i'm leaning toward like a sting or a spider bite or something to that extent...

It's very possible. We live in central Texas & these are free range. They're loose all day to roam free. We supposedly have these spiders all over the place that will rot your skin if bitten. It's not the Brown Recluse...a different one. We also have lots of scorpions but haven't seen any inside the house in a long time.
My avian vet recommended putting hydrocortisone on the affected area & that's what I've been doing.
