Hey all,
(Graphic content attached)
I’ve got a 5 year old rooster that’s been dealing with a foot issue for about 1 month now. We took him in to the garage and warmth after realizing him being lame on his left side.we have been soaking his foot in epsom salt and warm water for two weeks now - originally thought it was frost bite because we had a brutal winter. We caved and took him to the vet today, there is only one in our area. She says that he has bumble foot and the solution was removing the infected tissue and keeping him on antibiotics for a month. Unfortunately due to the expenses being $1400 we just couldn’t do it. The antibx even $400. His toes are now falling off which is what we knew would happen. This is a picture of his foot after getting home from the vet. Are there any at home alternatives to help me save him? It would be so sad having to let him go for this. Help us save our boy
