Hello,
We have 6 ducks, all of which unfortunately had bumblefoot last Fall. After about 3 months of daily bandaging, soaks etc all of them healed up completely.
We replaced our quarter sized gravel(bad i know) with pea gravel and rubber mats. Been monitoring their feet through the winter(no problems), skipped about 3 weeks since life happens. But on checking this week it seems like 3 of them now have it again. It is not as bad as last time but I suspect it may be due to the pea gravel.
I don't know if we have the bandwidth to do the full treatment plan again but one thing we need to do is find a better solution for the run surface. Im going to try to set up some artificial turf as an alternative.
I see some discussions on here with people that have used it. Can anyone give any tips or advice on using artifical turf for the run?
