Hi, currently battling bumblefoot in a falcon but the best people to talk to are hen keepers as it’s much more common in hens!

Just wondering if anyone’s ever had birds who’ve lost and regained the use of their toes from bumble foot? Currently we don’t know if the tendons are totally ruptured, or if the infection fluid and pus etc is just stopping the movement of some joints. Had a 4th toe stop working today :( so just hoping to hear others stories.

I had a hen with bumble that lost all movement in her leg and had to be carried everywhere. After proper cleaning of the spot and a few days of soaking in epsom salts she regained movement in her leg and made a full recovery.
How have you cleaned the foot?

I’m about 10 weeks into 2 types antibiotics and 2 weeks or so post surgery. 3 toes lost movement before surgery and then those 2 today. One bandage was took off 2 days ago and since removing it seems to have flared up and got worse again. Possibly need to bandage still just to keep the weight off the foot but there’s a lot of liquid pus still to drain :(
