Just an update. I didn’t get all of the kernel the first time and had to cut out the rest a few days ago. Once I did that she heeled very quickly. All in all, it was a 10 day process and today is her first day without a bandage. It was a scary process as a new chicken ‘tender’ I’m so grateful for the advice and encouragement. Y’all rock!
