I have used it on small lesions with success.

I was chicken sitting and discovered one of the hens had scabs on the top as well as bottom. The top plug that came out easily after soaking, the bottom one was rather recalcitrant.

Even if you resort to "invasive surgery", a good soak is a good start. Gets the feet clean!

Well here is what I would do with this problem
Take each foot and apply to scab area
Vetericyn VF hydrogel, sold at amazon

  Vetericyn Plus All Animal Antimicrobial Hydrogel 16oz

apply very liberly and then
use Vet wrap on both the feet after putting the Vetericyn on the foot.
if no change in the bumblefoot then:

you may have to do the bumblefoot surgery
this is to cut open the scab area and squeeze out the large pus accumulation.
then put the Vetercyn hydrogel liberly on the foot laceration
and wrap with vet wrap.
confine the chicken to a dog carrier as she will need rest alone away from other hens.
Each day twice a day unwrap and apply the Vetericyn hydrogel and apply vetwrap to the feet.

Okay so apparently I started off wrong I used neosporin with pain relief but that was before I got the plugs removed which were reluctant one actually bleed a bit and that was after her feet soaking in epsom for @ least 20 min ( she seemed to like sitting in the warm water she didn't move a bit) but afterwards I got the plugs removed and used microcynAH and wrapped with vet wrap and have been changing that wrap daily she is in a dog crate inside away from the others I use blucote today I dk how that would do I'm all so very new to this but if it's not good I will certainly go bak to the microcynAH or neosporin WITHOUT pain relief thanks for all the help and information everyone
