I noticed now, most of my hens have something similar... Do I have to treat them all? Jeeze! Chickens!

Well I saw her walking a little funny, ans that signaled me to look, she stoped although. How does a hen walk if it is Bumblefoot? Is it bothering her? If not, then leave it alone and monitor for now.
Sometimes it doesn't bother them.Well I saw her walking a little funny, ans that signaled me to look, she stoped although. How does a hen walk if it is Bumblefoot?
Okay thanks!Sometimes it doesn't bother them.
But if she's walking like her foot is causing a problem, then treat it.
I had a hen with a similar looking blister like wound. I just treated it the same as I would bumblefoot and it healed. The roosting bars are both clean and smooth, as we painted them.
We dont use any bedding, but when winter starts we put down pine shavings.
The only reason im not sure its bumblefoot, is because it does not have like a hole I guess for a infection to get in. My thought is a blister, because its been really rainy and muddy lately. I just want to be sure if its bumblefoot or not.
Okay, she will still be able to walk with the wrap on right? Do I just peal it off?I had a hen with a similar looking blister like wound. I just treated it the same as I would bumblefoot and it healed.![]()
Yep! It may be a little a bit awkward for a bit, I would change it every day for a week. (Or a few days, depends on if it scabs.) If it's not healed by then continue for another week, it should form a scab eventually.Okay, she will still be able to walk with the wrap on right? Do I just peal it off?
