Bumblefoot?

If just one then I would say no.
Thanks! I was stressing for a second. How many chickens do you have? I only have 7 and I lose my marbles when something happens! I got her chicken shoes, and she was tap dancing with them on, she hated every second. Should I slowly introduce her? I just want to put it on in the mornings - and at night, when its wet or she roosts.

I only have 6 at the moment.
I have never used shoes. I use vet wrap bandages and corn cushions for bumble foot.

Yes, it's bumblefoot. You should treat it non-surgically. I saw a really good video on how to treat .

Here's the link:
I have been treating it for 2 months now i think. Its a pressure bumble so I wish it was that easy but its not 😔 hope you enjoy reading this thread! It sure is a long one with a lot of helpfull folks. Thank you although!

What's the difference between a pressure bumble and regular bumble foot? Does it require a different treatment? I hope your hen gets better. I just tuned into this thread and didn't realize how long it was. Best wishes

Thank you... A pressure bumble is caused by roosting on too hard roosts. Not a thorn or scab. Although prid does work, it does not make it easy for you to peal it off. There wont be as much puss, but lots of swelling. You need antibiotics and to take off as much pressure from the feet from my understanding.

Hi! @Sylvester017 & @RoyalChick !

She has been taking her meds well, and enjoying the grapes that come after. The roosts are now cushioned super well. So good, I would even sleep on it! We made them fermented food, to help with good bacteria + we got probiotics from TSC, so when she comes in I will see if she wants to drink. I wont force her though. We give them a mix of: Kefier, Cottage cheese and yogurt, it also has good things for her. So far all is well though, I feel like swelling has gone down just a tad. Ill take pics tomorrow and hopefully you guys can tell me if it seems better. Looking forward to that day that I can finally announce she is all healed.
