Bumblefoot?

Update:
Wow! It has been a while! I have been meaning to post, just go lazy. Haha! Maggie has finished her meds a while ago. We were able to figure out her egg based on previous eggs of hers, so not blue butt was needed. Now, the swelling has gone down so much, I can hardly put the corn cussion on. Yay!! One problem, on her least bad food we also put a corn cushion. It was all good until it started really sticking to a spot on her foot pad. I assume this is where she puts the most pressure. I took it off, cleaned it, and put ointment putting a gauze pad over I wrapped it. Now im just crossing my fingers there is no new bumble.

TY for Maggie's update! Our pets put us thru some worries but then, they are totally dependent on our care. It's so gratifying when healing occurs! :love

Yes! She hates us still, all she does is eats the worms and lets me cuddle her. Since she goes not know its really me who does all the treatments. Im always behind her. So, im the only one who can cuddle her. Lol! She still takes the worms from the rest of the family.

Hi! It has been so long. Finally, after 5 months of constant bumblefoot treatment, and countless diffrent wrap colors, I can finally say Maggie is almost done with her bumbles!!! Although I do want to hate the vet, I do belive the meds helped stop the infection (s). There is not swelling now, and she is on the smallest size corn cussion! She use to be on the biggest. Im so glad she is finally healed. Im still keeping the wraps on until the skin toughens up, because it is still baby skin and could probably be ripped very easily. So wraps will stay on until the skin is completely healed. Will keep you posted, but hopefully new year new her!! Thank you so so much for your guyses help!

5 months for Maggie's care sounds about right for her severe case. My longest cure took 3 months but that included in-house stay for a week or so for the "baby skin" to toughen up. You're right to protect that newly healed baby skin. Maggie is worth it! TY for your family's & your care for her :clap

I just wish it was quicker lol, my patience was really tested... 2 chickens bumbles healed, 1 chicken has one foot done, just trying to fix the other. Also recently, the biggest bird in our flock ripped skin on her foot so now its a bumble. Trying to heal that also. She is! She is such a joy to have.

When you have a chance let me know how the injured foot birdie is doing too.
Okay!! Here is the bird, ill try and post more often about her. Her name is Tina.

Also do you know what this black stuff on one of my hens foot? She had vet wrap on, but it was not to tight, she also put her full body weight on it.

You can see by her "thumb" its kind of discolor.
