Bump on duck's beak

One of my ducks has this bump on her beak. She's just about six years old. It's about the diameter of a pea, same color as her beak, feels smooth like her beak, same temperature as the rest of her beak. I noticed it a few weeks ago while we were cuddling, she likes me to rub her beak while we cuddle. It doesn't seem to be growing, if it is it's growing very slowly but I don't remember it being there a few months ago...trying to think back I just don't exactly how long it's been there.

Has anyone ever seen a bump like this? Any ideas what it might be?

Could be from rubbing on something like the fence, or a metal waterer or food dish.

That was my first thought too but I can't figure out where she could have come into anything metal. Unless maybe it could be from knocking her beak hard on a metal water dish while she was having a splash bath in it. That seems like it would have caused a bruise though. Do beak bruises present as bumps?

This morning I noticed that it's starting to look like it might be peeling a little on one edge.
