Bump on hens beak has developed

This bump on my welsummers beak developed and looks hard and kind of looks like it could be peeled but I did not want to touch it not knowing what it was . She does not like to be messed with so to get the picture I had to do it with her roosting at night .

Could be dirt or food, I would definitely get a hold of her to get a better look and to see if it scrapes off.
