Bunnies!

Feed and water them. They also need chew toys, pine cones are fine, apple wood is a favorite, and they will play with and chew up the cardboard from your toilet paper. They shouldn't be bred until 6 months of age so males and females should be seperated or supervised until then.

definately seperate them if you havebucks and does, it happens in a second and you can't be watching them permanently!

@CrazyChickGirl is 100% correct. Oh, and too much fresh fruit/veggies can give them diahhrea and kill them if they aren't used to it so only give it as a treat, a little at a time! Mine personally like lettuce, carrots, and celery.

We are breeding these for meat in the future, maybe to sellfor 4h later. Going to keep the pelts too. They got feed and water immediately (thats always a "duh" with animals) and timothy hay. Basic animal husbandry stuff.

I wanted to know more towards maintenence like toenail trimming (i assume theyll need it since theyre in a cage eventually), nutritional needs, etc. Eventually im going to start producing my own feed and just needed to know what i need

Well, our rabbits are all different with claw trimming, one of them I need to do every month or so, and another buck we have had for three years has never needed them done at all! There is a arttical on our rabbitry blog on claw trimming at: bubblegumbunniesrabbitry.blogspot.co.nz, or you can go to my account and theres a link there. Five weeks old dies seem a bit young to me personaly, but I've heard of many breeders selling them at four weeks with no problems. Hope you enjoy them! :)
