Bunnies make a wide variety of noises, especially when they are excited around feeding time or when someone they like visits. Many make a soft buzzing/grunting sound when they are happy. Mine does that at feeding time, all the while running circles around my feet! This is a very different grunt from the one they do when they are in pain - easy to tell the difference.
